OBITUARY

Ucal St Aubyn Emanuel Warren, called Stuggs, union of Clementine and Eugene was born in Santoy, Jamaica, WI and died in Hollywood, Florida. His parents preceded him in death. His early years were spent in Jamaica but in 1979 he emigrated along with his mother to the USA. He worked in Florida in the agricultural industry for a short time then moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he lived for 25 years, moving back to Florida shortly before His mother died

While in Ohio, Stuggs worked for over a decade in the Manufacturing industry, making small tools, until the company relocated. He also was a drummer in a reggae band. He loved and practiced the principles of the Rastafarian religious movement, wore dreadlocks for most of his adult life and followed their dietary habits but when asked what religion he was his reply often was, “I am a Seventh Day Adventist, I grew up in it from a boy.” Stuggs was a quiet, peace loving man, respectful to all and in turn love was showered on him. He was also enigmatic.

His great love was horses, developed early, when he was introduced to them by his cousin Valbert, a horse trainer. He wanted to become a jockey which was discouraged, but he remained a lifelong admirer, an enthusiast, a horse racing watcher and memorabilia collector of all things horses. His musical taste was varied. And his collection of tapes was proof. He was not interested in current TV programs. He loved the comedies of the 50s and the movies of the 50s and 40s, particularly the glamor, styles and classiness of the periods.

Despite some health issues, he was described as fine, so when he took a nap and could not be aroused, it was devastating. He died on January 23,2022. “Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear.”

Stuggs was preceded in death by sisters; Marlene Leonie, and Cecelia; grandmothers; Beatrice and Madeline; Grand fathers Austin and Earnest; aunts Miriam and Cynthia; uncles Eugene, Dillion, Sillon, Foxton.

Mourning his passing are Norma (Faye), Deana, Pauline, (Rose), Dorette (Blossom), Corney (Darth), sisters; Merton (Tanny), brother; niece Nicole; other nieces, nephews, grand nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends in the USA, Jamaica, Great Britain and Canada.
