In Loving Memory of Salvador Francisco Martell
November 23, 1943 – June 19, 2025
With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Salvador Francisco Martell, who departed this life on June 19, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born in Nahuizalco, El Salvador, on November 23, 1943, Salvador was the beloved son of Salvador Francisco
Martell and Maria Elba Dominguez. He grew up alongside his cherished siblings Jorge Martell, and now reunites in peace with his late sister, Abby Martell.
Salvador dedicated his early life to education, earning a degree in teaching. His journey later led him to the United States, where he built a life defined by hard work, perseverance, and love for his family. He worked as a truck driver before becoming a Greyhound bus driver, a role he held with great pride. Eventually, Salvador turned his passion into a business of his own, founding Salvador Tours, which offered chartered trips from San Francisco to regional casinos. Through it all, he found joy in the connections he made and the lives he touched along the way.
He spent most of his adult life in San Francisco, California, with meaningful chapters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and most recently, Pembroke Pines, Florida, where he lived during the final years of his life.
Salvador was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Graciela Socorro Martell, and a loving father to his children:
Marlon Martell and Marelita Mateo,
Roberto & Aida Martell Preza,
Salvador & Alicia Martell,
Frank & Lindy Martell,
Alex & Sofia Martell,
and Camilo Martell.
He leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his grandchildren: Mariah, Ryan, Kayson, Ana, Gabe, Rose, Raquell, Alex, Sara, Isaiah, Nelson, Sebastian, Andrea, and Maya, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved and admired him deeply.
Salvador will be remembered for his beautiful singing voice, strong personality, warm heart, sharp wit, excellent joke telling, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel welcome, whether they were family, friends, or passengers on a long road. His journey was full of stories, and those who knew him will carry those stories forward.
Towards the end of his life Salvador found comfort and strength in scripture, especially in his favorite passage:
“El SEÑOR es mi pastor; nada me faltará.” — Salmo 23
A memorial service to celebrate Salvador’s life will be held on: Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM
Nakia Ingraham Funeral Home
6701 Pembroke Road Pembroke Pines, Florida 33023
Friends and family are warmly invited to attend as we gather to honor his memory, share stories, and celebrate a life well lived.
Rest in peace, dear Salvador Martell.
You will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
Condolences
