Obituary For Ronald Rajendranauth Jeboo

In Loving Memory Ronald Rajendranauth Jeboo

Ronald was the eldest son of Muriel nee Ramsahoi and Cecil Jeboo. He was born on the 20th July 1947. His father Cecil was a headmaster and the family was fortunate to live in various parts of Guyana. His father and mother were devoted parents. His father ensured that all his children were educated and his mother was the best homemaker providing the family with beautiful meals which Ronald used to remind everyone. As the eldest child of six, Ronald was the apple of his mother’s eye and her devotion to him and her other children was evident until the day she died. He carried a locket with the last photograph of the two of them together around his neck which he showed fondly to others. His other siblings are Geoffrey (deceased), Jeanie, Karam (deceased), Winnie and Walter. He was fond of his nieces and nephews and showed his affection continuously. He spent a lot of time with Walter’s daughter Crystal and Walter and Maggie’s grandchildren Suvi, Aliana and Maliha and enjoyed their energy and youthfulness. Ronald used to recount tales of helping his mother with his younger siblings diapers. He will be sadly missed as he was one of the few remaining one who could remember and recount minute details of his siblings as children. Ronald attended Tagore Memorial High School in the Corentyne and Skeldon Lutheran High School. From an early age he displayed dexterity with his practical skills and a flair for electrical work. This love of electrical work persisted throughout his life. He gained a City and Guilds (London University) Electrical engineering degree in 1975. When he moved to New York it was this skill that enabled him to find employment quickly. Ronald was a loving and generous person. He loved his two sisters and his nephew Muna and visited them twice in London. He mentioned that when his brother Karam was dying, Karam reminded him that he had two beautiful sisters Winnie and Jeannie and that they were an asset to the family since childhood. Ronald will be sadly missed for his wonderful loving aura and his intelligence and thoughtfulness as he lived his life with peace and love for everyone. His sister winnie and nephew stayed with him in New York on many occasions. We felt comfortable in his flat he shared with his wife Lily. The love and generosity that we experienced was priceless. He showed his family that love and humility are more important than possessions. Ronald loved cooking and has presented beautiful meals for his family whenever we visited from London. His favourite meal was lentils (dal) with curry.

My dearest gratitude to my beautiful niece Crystal, my brother Walter and my sister in law Maggie for the love and support to this family during this difficult time. Thank you also to our cousins Chandra and Roger, Bunsie, Dikie, Billy and Danny for reaching out to us. A special thank you to our cousins Shanti and Bill whose loving words of support meant a great deal to us. Shanti's words reminded me that we can celebrate the joy he brought to our lives in times when we are sad about his loss. I will always cherish my beautiful brother. The last year we spoke everyday on the phone and he was able to tell me about our lovely mother who although high school educated, played the piano and knew a lot about homemaking, dedicated her life to her children in the most selfless way. Now they can meet again in heaven. Rest in Peace my dearest brother.

Hey Uncle Ronnie, today was a very difficult day as I said my last good bye to you. Well, these past two months spending time with you felt like a bless eternity. I am thankful for the past 2 months you took a lot of time to make amends with many people. I am proud to be your niece to see that. To have a chance, before God needed you, to say I love you and give you a hug. I pick this pink candle to welcome love for both self and others and to promote joy, friendship, and harmony. We will certainly miss you Uncle Ronnie as well Uncle Jeffrey, and Uncle Karam, especially your grandbaby girls will miss you. Please say hi to Natasha for us and our grandparents. I will hang on strong for your little brother, Walter and your lovely sister n law Margaret and I will take care of them both as you expect me too. Muna will take care of Auntie Rosemary and Auntie Jeannie the best he has always been doing. I met many of your cousins that are very warming people just like you said. Thank you Uncle Ronnie, as you touch all of our hearts and giving us the embrace when we need it most. I love you always and forever. Rest in Christ's Love and in heaven's glory, Uncle Ronnie.

    - Jeanie, Rosemary and Walter, Our deepest condolence. In the memory of a dear and beloved cousin, Ron. We acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift that his life was to us, and the pain that his passing brings. In sharing the joy and the pain together, we pray that the pain may be lessened and remember more clearly the joy. Ron was a beloved brother, favourite cousin and loyal friend. He will always be a beautiful memory. "We are nothing more than the memories we keep. The strongest memories we carry are ones of love. " Shanti,Bill Seepaul & Family
