Obituary

Time to Be Born Robert Montgomery Sr. was born on October 17, 1937, to the late Mr. Willie Montgomery and Mrs. Pearline Wright [1] Montgomery (who both preceded him in death) in Eutawville, South Carolina. Robert’s formal schooling took place in Eutawville, South Carolina. In the 1950’s the family located to Hollywood Florida Time To Buildup On November 14, 1957, Robert married Arlene Green. They are proud parents of six children. Time To Work Robert loved to work with his hands. Construction was his passion, and he was a professional in masonry. He worked for Current Builders, Inc. for more than 40 years. There are buildings and construction projects throughout South Florida stamped with Robert’s expertise. Time to Weep On December 7, 2023, at 7:30p.m., Robert was released to receive his well-deserved crown in glory. Robert joined loved ones in heaven including his daughter Sandra Montgomery and siblings Eddie Montgomery Sr. and Eva Clair Montgomery-Bell. Left to cherish his wonderful memories are his wife Arlene Montgomery and children: Diane Madry (Wallace), Barbara Johnson, (Hayward[1]deceased), Minnie Jackson (Lionel), Robin Grady (Hollis) and Robert Montgomery Jr., as well as his loving sibling Rosalee Brown (Adam-deceased), and sister in-laws Elizabeth “Pug” Montgomery, Margaret Gordon (Peter), Linda Green Mallard (Johnny), Charlotte Small (Mack), Ruthie Gadson, Janie “Shug” Sellars (Allen-deceased) and brother in-law, James Green. Robert also leaves behind the legacy of 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces,
