Obituary

Ray Robinson Jr. Was the second oldest child born to the late Ray Robinson Sr. and Glazella Walton. Ray was born on July 10, 1947 in Shellman Ga. As a young boy he went to school and helped work in the cotton fields. Ray and his family relocated to Hollywood Florida when he was a teenager. Then he met Ethel Mae Taylor and they fell in love. At the age of 20 Ray and Ethel were united in matrimony November 4, 1967. They remained married for 56 years until death did them apart. Together they shared 5 beautiful children, 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ray was a block mason for O&H Masonry for many years. In his latter years he took full responsibility as being a caregiver for his mom. After the passing of his mom Ray took side jobs. No job was too big or small. Ray was barbecuing for Fabulous a local restaurant once a week for the past 4 years. Ray was known by either Ray Ray or Warfat. Ray was a true believer of the LORD Jesus Christ. Ray was a member at Emanuel Abundant Life Christian Ministries under the covering of Dr. Evelena S. Hodge. Ray was very family oriented. Ray loved cooking, driving, hanging out, with friends, family, joking and loved being a sharp dresser “clean as a whistle”. Ray was never the one to sugar coat anything he was straight forward with any and everyone. Ray was well known and he treated people right and made them feel welcomed no matter who it was.
