"Randolph Douglas Malcolm Smith" On Sunday, September 13, 2020, Randolph Douglas Malcolm Smith, loving husband, amazing father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 76. He had 1 daughter with Joy Rodgers, Portia. 1995, he married to his beloved Karlene Kidd and they had 1 daughter, Shennelle. From Jamaica Randolph moved to Toronto, Canada and then ultimately to South Florida in the late 70’s. In the 80’s his Entrepreneurial spirit drove him to try his hand at founding his own businesses.

Randolph was known for his generosity particularly in times of need. Randolph had a few passions, including his business Unique Charters, The Miami Heat, his community but his biggest passion of all was his family. In 2006 he went all the way in by purchasing 3 season tickets for the Miami Heat so that he could enjoy all his passions at once. On any given home game, you could find him watching a Heat game at the American Airlines Arena with his family members or his business associates. Other times he would gift them to community members.

Johnny, my dear cousin was such a kind and loving soul I have so many memories of him that it's hard to put them all here. What I remember most was his smiling face. His jovial banter with me. His willingness to help whenever he could. I will miss him sorely and he will forever be in my heart. Love you Johnny!

Interestingly enough, I never met 'Mr. Johnny' as we called him in the office... even as I sent him many messages (sometimes threatening) thru Karlene.... & prayed unceasingly. Who I met & DO know is his firecracker wife, Karlene who unfortunately, is very private. But through her, I met Mr. Johnny & THE family who I have grown to have the utmost respect & admiration for. What a well-oiled support system? (& I hold mine in high esteem)....from who cooks...who makes sure he eats, who covers him... to..... who tattletales on him to Karlene...... Simply an awesome dynamic & one I was privileged to get a bird's eye view of. Even thru the challenging moments, Mr. Johnny kept his independence (much to their chagrin...the roof top for the mangoe made me laugh....) & his dignity & most importantly...his sense of humor. What a fighter with lots of winds beneath his wings. Karlene & ALL family. Thanks for the example you have set.....utmost respect & admiration & we pray now for strength... one day at a time. I applaud The Family on the caption which is well written & says it all: A Champion in his own right. Mr. Johnny. Walk good in Love & Power as I KNOW you KNEW you were well loved.

Sending our deepest condolences to Karlene and family. When one of our family mourns, we all mourn. Karlene's love for her husband was evident to us and we know what a void his passing will leave. But know that we will be there to support you with our love and our prayers. May God have mercy on him and may his soul rest in eternal peace. God bless you.

We wish to convey our most heartfelt condolences to the Smith family friends and other loved ones. I met Johnny in 1980. We did not see each other often but we spoke on the phone updating each other on the changes in our lives. You came briefly and left but what an imprint your footprints have left upon our hearts. Your work on this side is finished. SIP. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family

My sincere condolences to Mrs. Karlene and family! As a kid growing up I always admired the genuine friendship I observed between Uncle Johnny and my dad . They demonstrated the meaning of "true friendship " and treated each other's children as their own. He will be missed, and will always be in our hearts.

We are deeply saddened for the loss of our dear friend "Popz"... your kindness and love extended beyond bounds and we are forever grateful for that. We can testify that you were always being there for us. Providing good advice, laughter, generous gifts and love as if we were one of your own. You will be deeply missed but we take comfort in knowing that heaven has gained an angel and we know you are watching over us. Love Smiley (Ivor) and family.

Mr. Randolph and I worked The tennis tournament on key Biscayne for many years, as his bus company provides transportation for the patron; He and I would be the last ones to leave at night, my job working for The Park department as Lead Guard was to ensure all patron leave safely, mr Randolph would make sure all his buses were clean and ready for the next day service, he was one of our sponsor for education scholarship to the Caribbean Islands, and purchase tickets for our yearly banquet also in aid of that funs by the SDA Church of prophecy education department, on behalf of our Church and education department condolence to the family may my dear brother rest in peace. Sending my deepest condolences to Karlene and family. I will miss him dearly - we were bestfriends for 60 years! We had a lot of great times together, many jokes, countless days of learning and growing up together; but most of all he was always good to me. He stood by me as my best man during my wedding. I could always count on "Johnny" to help whenever I needed him. His genuine friendship and kind-hearted manner is one of a kind. R.I.P my dear friend . From: Carlton Hacker
