Mary Magdalene Francis was born on August 20th, 1929 to Rosetta Blondell and Luke Francis in the Village of Soufriere, Common Wealth of Dominica. After successfully completing her 7th Standard Exams she started on whatwould become her her life long career, Teaching. She migrated to St. Kitts to be with her mother in the early sixties where she also raised her four children. “Teacher Francis” as she was affectionately called taught at the St Joseph Parochial in Basseterre for over thirty (30) years until she retired. She spent several years enjoying her favorite past time, traveling and visiting family in the United States, Curaçao and Dominica and looking at Cricket. In May 2002 she migrated yet again to Florida to be with her daughter Cleo. Her final “move” was to Port St. Lucie in April 2020, by her eldest daughter Vincia where she spent the final months of her life. Mary Magdalene Francis was a quiet, affectionate loving person with a HUGE heart and who always greeted you with a big friendly smile. She was a Devout Catholic and lived a Simple, Humble but fulfilling life. Mary is survived by:- Her children, Michael (Hassan), Vincia (Sister), Cleo and Maclean (Mac). Her brother:- Wilson Nieces: - Kay, Samantha, Znessa, Marlene, Rosette, Diana, Marilyn and Erin. Nephew:- Patrick (Tico), and Carlton Grand Children:- Kerine, Kamal, Maclean (MC), Akilah. Urbi, Asim and Keisha. Great Grandchildren:- Nali, Amina, Zhenja, Zahylia, Tau, Zahriyah, Jevon, Ja’ niyah, Jay’luh, Kymani and Kaylie. Sisters-in-law:- Ellen, Philomena and Syl Son-in-law:- Martin (Jb) Daughter-in-law:- Marcia Grand children-in-law:- Eugene and Jonella Close family and friends – Phillip, Anthea and family, Angela and Josie, Pearline, David and family, Catherine and family, Jackie, Lorna, Sandra and family, Patrick and family, Andree, Cletus and Tony, Avis, Clovis, Lambert and Irma, Claire Johnson and many more too numerous to mention.
