Obituary For Marcela Britton- Walker

In Loving Memory of Marcela Britton-Walker

Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow,
but remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,
I've only gone to rest a little while.

Although my leaving causes pain and grief,
my going has eased my hurt and given me relief.

So dry your eyes and remember me
not as I am now, but as I use to be.

Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile,
Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while.
As long as I have the love of each of you,
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

My dearest friend Marcela, with sad heart I am writting these words of farewell and condolence to your family and love ones that are left behind, as you departed before Us to be in the presence of our Lord. As sad as I am, my memories goes back to our young days in school, and I feel so blessed to have called U my dearest friend as our friendship endured over the years. As I make reminiscence of school days, every day we would walk back and forth to school, sharing about our dreams for the future and making jokes as we headed home. I am forever grateful for the precious moments we spent together as young girls building our dreams. Dearest Marcela, you were also like an older sister to me that gave me advice whenever it was needed and for this U are placed in a special part of my heart. My friend, I am cherishing the last text you sent me, as I read it I prayed as my heart advised me that the end was close and that many years of struggle and pain was reaching to an end. It was not an easy battle U faced but God love U more and knew when was the time to release U from the illness U carried. My dear friend Marcela my prayers is that your Soul may ( Rip ) Nora Newball Crisanto Class of " 83 " Moravian High School

I knew you from school days but did not have any acquaintance with you. Who I was more close with was Gladys. In my friendship with Gladys I came to know you more and more, because your sister Gladys spoke so much about you that i felt like if we had really been friends from long ago.; so it happen that when you came for vacation a few years ago it was not impossible for me to make friend with you because you were already my friend. May you rest in the everlasting arms of our loving Saviour. Rest in Peace Marcella.

I met Marcela in 1974 when she was 11 years old. I was working for the Lutheran Church in Bluefields and adopted a little girl that I named Bethani who lived with Josefina, Gladys and Marcella for a year. Marcela had the most beautiful smile and was always so upbeat. After she moved to Florida, I stayed in touch with her through her Tia Josefina and throughout her long battle with cancer. Her resolve was strong. Her faith was genuine. I picture her with Josephina now. Rest in peace dear sweet Marcela. You struggled for so long and you deserve this rest. Thru eternity, Cindy Amble Lukas

Marcella was the most fierce and strongest woman I've ever met. She had so much love for her children/grandchildren and all those in her life. So shocked and saddened she's no longer with us. We love you and wish we had more time Always Val/ Jennifer & Julianna Rowe
