  Despite being across the miles in England, I always had the fondest of memories of my uncle. From my first time meeting him as a child, being struck by his likeness to my dad, Laurie - and from then on I called him my 'Uncle Daddy'. RIEP

  Ervin adopted me and my son into his family and treated us like his very own. His love and loyalty carried me through some of the hardest moments of my life. Ervin was my biggest support and cheerleader. He was there at my graduation from nursing school and this May, he was the first to be invited to my son's high school graduation. Ervin moved me into my first apartment, taught me how to drive, taught me gardening,. His memory will forever remain in my heart, Missing you profoundly. May His soul RIP and light perpetual shines on him.

  Ervin was a Tower of strength to the Alice Side of the family when no other sees us as part of them he was the only one who stood up for us. He always goes the extra mile for us no matter what anyone else thinks and say. Uncle you make me in who I am today and I appreciate you in life and in death and you have ran an excellent race and finished your work on earth so go sing with your angels and continue to watch over us as you always do. Forever in me and my kids hearts we missed and loved you dearly but God loves you best.
