Reflection of Life Eatel Archibald Cox, 77, died November 30th, 2021. His final days were spent in the company of family and friends whose lives he had touched in a memorable way. Eatel, affectionately known as Jack, was born on December 11th, 1943, to the late Violet and Clarence Cox in Kingston, Jamaica. He was the eldest son of five children. Eatel immigrated to the United States in 1975 where he joined his brothers, Rupert (“Tony”) and Raymond (“Bill”) in Florida. Eatel worked for Aerospace for ten years as an assembly lineman. Shortly after this role, he began working independently on varied projects renovating both homes and cars. He was a master craftsman who was skilled with his hands. Being the eldest son, Eatel was always seen as the patriarch of the family and he cherished the role by being a source of support for everyone (…both family and friends). He was a man that truly loved his family. To those that knew him as a family member or a friend, Eatel was a presence. His energy, his emotion, his smile, his voice, his laughter, his love filled any space that he entered. Eatel was fortunate to find love in his later years. He is survived by his loving wife, Cecille Celestine Cox. He and Cecille enjoyed an adventurous life filled with travel and love for each other. Eatel was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth. His surviving siblings include his sister, Joyce, and his brothers, Tony and Bill. Eatel’s legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was blessed to have ten children: Michelle (Wendall), Venice “Gemma”, Tracy, Eric (Endya), Jacqueline “Pinky” (Greg), Raymond (Carolyn), Marlene “Tasha,” Racquel, Teddy, Andrea, Annie, Miguel, and Johanna. Eatel was equally blessed to have a host of grandchildren: Ayesha, Gregory, Gianna, Givonna, Ryan, Maya, Ian, Erin, Eric, Gregory II, Kevin, Jalen, Brittney, Brianna, Isiah, Jalisa, Alyssa, Raelyn, Grace, Jahni, Keonte, Teddy Jr., Bernae, and Ashley. He found joy in his great-grandchildren: Liam, Julian, Shiloh, Meru, and Aiyanna. Additionally, the love of and for his nieces (Alisa, Michelle, Shenika, Sharon, Patricia, Trisha, Shovon, A’Shonda, and Erika) and nephews (Robert “Quincy”, Raymond “Prince”, Sean, and Dennis) was unmatched. Eatel will be missed by his mother-inlaw, Bertina Celestine, brothers-in-law (Christian, Dennis and Pastor Charles Skeete) sisters-in-law (Lisa, Catherine, Grace, Rose, Jackie, and Heidi) as well as a host of relatives and friends too numerous to mention. “Do not let your hearts be troubled…” (John 14:1) “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted…” (Psalm 34:18) Acknowledgements We the family of Eatel A. Cox “Jack” express our sincere gratitude to everyone for your expressions of kindness and concern during our time of bereavement. May God continue to bless each of you.
