Obituary For Donald Owen Shaw

In Loving Memory of Donald Owen Shaw Celebration of Life Services are as follows:

Viewing – Friday - Jan 28, 2022 - 6:00-800 PM At the Funeral Home Chapel. 6701 Pembroke Road Pembroke Pines, FL 33023

Service - Saturday - Jan 29, 2022 - 11:00 AM Northwest Baptist Church 951 NW 136th Street Miami, FL Obituary Donald Shaw was born on August 29, 1929 to parents Herbert Leslie Shaw and Enid Mae Shaw in Kingston, Jamaica. He was the fourth of six children. His brother, Harold, and sisters, Cynthia, Valerie, Sheila and Patricia. His sister, Sheila is still with us. After graduating from school, he received a job from The Ministry of Finance.

He was married twice; his marriage to Ina produced five children, Donovan, Jeffery Richard, Michelle and Gary. His second marriage to Evadne produced a son, Dominic. He worked hard and took care of his children and continued to support his family who he loved immensely.

In 1984, he moved to the United States and continued to set the stage for his children to succeed in life. In his later years, he worked at Ingraham & Associates law firm until he was 85 years old and loved to spend his free time with family and friends.

Donald was a long time member of Northwest Baptist Church. His strong faith in God helped him to become a supporter of all people, and he enjoyed translating the depth and meaning of the different Bible verses to his young associates at church and also his family members.

Donald has gone home now, guided by his faith and by the light of those he loved and lost before him. Now, he is with them once more, leaving those of us who grieve his passing with the memory of all he gave and the good he did during his life.

Mr. Shaw. Pops. You always reminded me of my own dad. We the Elliotts called you his brother. Whose smile was more contagious than Mr. Shaw's? His pleasant greetings were always followed by that genuine smile. He loved people and he was truly loved by all he encountered. Sleep in Peace (Mr. Shaw) and your friend, Mr. Elliott, my dad. May both R.I.E.P. Debbie Elliott

Dad, I will always have fond memories of you. You were funny and had the greatest demeanor. "A father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way." -- Unknown Author. Love and miss you dearly. Your baby girl.
