Gully I first met you as an opponent when we played HS baseball. You for Key West High and me from Coral Park High in Miami. We then became teammates at Miami Dade North Jr College in 1972. You were always a true inspiration and great and kind friend. I just found out today of your passing and it truly affected me, and I let some of our teammates know. RIP my brother and friend.

Although I have not seen Clarence ("Gully") since 1972, I am saddened by his loss. Gully was a fine man, and led an extremely accomplished life. My condolences to his family.

Mr. Poitier you were always so kind to my children. You welcomed my Daughter to your home as your daughter Roz best friend and loved her like a daughter. For that and everything you did to keep everybody safe you earned your wings. My entire family became part of yours and that is never forgotten. RIP sweet angel you fought a good fight and won. Will be missed and never forgotten. Naida Sanchez & Fam.
